BIM - 3D BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING

In 2005, we expanded our construction services to include 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) and clash detection management of Architectural, Structural and MEP systems during the construction phase. WSP Mountain teamed with Turner Construction to design and implement a BIM process for the Newseum in Washington DC. By using 3D BIM, clashes were resolved which save expensive field revisions.

WSP MOUNTAIN is a structural steel detailing and engineering company on the cutting edge of steel software technology. We use Tekla Structures, Navis Works, AutoCAD and Bentley 3D software to create virtual 3D computer models. With our thirty-five years of building experience, we are able to resolve even the most complex building problems before they reach the field. Owners can take advantage of our 3D technology in the design phase of a project to produce a three-dimensional spatial database to manage and direct the entire construction process.
